Funny Friday: Mother vs Father

This little guy had cheese but no crackers…He was cracka-lackin! 🙂 What can I say. I’m easily entertained. Have a great Friday!
“When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing…” Luke 18:22 (NIV)
I ran across this scripture about the town of Salamis in one of my quiet times. This is yet another peek into my very imaginative and quirky mind (I shared a peek here when I pictured Jesus singing Jay-Z and Taylor Swift). I really would love a town of salamis…and cheeses…and chocolates…
“There, in the town of Salamis, they went to the Jewish synagogues and preached the word of God. John Mark went with them as their assistant.” Acts 13:5 (NLT)
Since we’ve been talking about fear lately and overcoming that by trusting God–like a trust fall–I thought this video would be a fitting Funny Friday (click here to go to watch the video link). It’s actually a trust fall FAIL!
“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” Psalm 118:8 (KJV)
Oh… You’re not from Oklahoma? Please, let me play you the song of my people. For those of you unfamiliar with this interesting musical device, it’s a tornado siren. A sound we’ve come to be all too familiar with in the springs and summers of Oklahoma.
“And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” Matthew 24:31 (NIV)
In honor on Mother’s Day this past weekend I thought I would share some funny mom texts that I’ve run across that have given me a few laughs! Enjoy…and I hope all you moms out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
“For I do not understand what I am doing…” Romans 7:15 (HCSB)
I love this sign: “Doorbell Broken. Yell Ding Dong Really Loud.” How fun would this be!? The Burlap Bag in Austin, Texas is apparently known for their snarky window displays. What a fun place!
“…Announce this with shouts of joy and proclaim it…” Isaiah 48:20 (NIV)
My sister-in-law sent me the picture above after my wonderful new puppy, Lucy, did this…
I knew her name would come in handy from time to time. “Lucy you got some splainin to do!” seems to fit so perfectly in this scenario! 🙂
“A time to tear apart and a time to sew together…” Ecclesiastes 3:7 (NASB)
