Funny Friday: Save Money Lie Better

Save Money Lie Better

Funny Friday: Save Money Lie Better

My sister took this picture at the Walmart checkout line.  Apparently their new philosophy is “Save money Lie better”! 🙂  So…if you lie at Walmart you’ll save more money?

“First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.” Proverbs 30:8 (NLT)

Funny Friday: Hay…it’s in my jeans

My sister found this great scarecrow meme and sent it to me. This job isn’t for everyone, but hay…it’s in my jeans.

“Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good.” Jeremiah 10:5 (NIV)

Here’s another funny meme I got from my cousin. Albeit a little dark and a bit uncouth, it still made me laugh more than I should have! 🙂

“He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ends of the earth.” Job 37:3 (NIV)

I did a double take when my cousin showed me this hilarious meme! Somebody was pretty creative when they saw a smoking car holding a selfie stick!

“Your eyes will see strange sights, and your mind will imagine confusing things.” Proverbs 23:33 (NIV)

Funny Friday: Moms texting each other

Moms texting each other... this is me and my sister

Funny Friday: Moms texting each other

My sister sent this to me and said it sounds like us!  It really does–I can totally see us saying this to each other! Well, eBay or Etsy sound better than this Old Testament option…

“Suppose a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father or mother, even though they discipline him. In such a case, the father and mother must take the son to the elders as they hold court at the town gate. The parents must say to the elders, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious and refuses to obey. He is a glutton and a drunkard.’ Then all the men of his town must stone him to death. In this way, you will purge this evil from among you, and all Israel will hear about it and be afraid.” Deuteronomy 21:18-21 (NLT)

Funny Friday: Voicemail Transcription

Voicemail Transcription: When my mom called and left a voicemail asking about what my daughter wants for her birthday, my phone apparently took some additional liberty with the transcription. That is, unless my mom is changing my name to George.

Funny Friday: Voicemail Transcription

When my mom called and left a voicemail asking about what my daughter wants for her birthday, my phone apparently took some additional liberty with the transcription.  That is, unless my mom is changing my name to George.

“saying, “Your name is Jacob, but you will not be called Jacob any longer. From now on your name will be Israel.” So God renamed him Israel.” Genesis 35:10
